Open your bKash app right now and try to find a transaction from 18 months ago. You can't — the app only shows recent history. For tax filing, family reconciliation, or business records, you need a permanent log. Here's how.
Why bKash limits history
Bandwidth + privacy reasons. bKash keeps server-side records for 7 years but exposes only 90 days in-app. You can request a longer statement by visiting a customer service center or via the website — but it's clunky.
The Moneybag approach
- Add bKash as a wallet in Moneybag.
- After every bKash transaction (or at end of day), enter it in Moneybag. Takes 10 seconds with quick-add.
- Tag with category (Send Money / Cash Out / Bill / Merchant).
- End of month: filter by wallet = bKash → see full month at a glance.
- Export as PDF or CSV anytime.
Pro tips
- Use notes field for recipient name — searchable forever.
- Tag merchant purchases with shop name — see your top stores annually.
- Note cash-out fees separately — see your annual MFS tax.
- Recurring entries for monthly utility bills.
Auto-import wishlist
We get asked for auto-import frequently. bKash doesn't currently offer a public API for third-party apps, so manual entry remains the cleanest path. We're tracking the regulatory development and will integrate the moment it's possible.
Can I request bKash to export my history?+
Yes — visit a bKash customer service center with NID + reason for request. They can provide 1-7 year statements.
Will Moneybag categorize bKash transactions automatically?+
No — manual category for now. We're exploring smart categorization based on transaction notes.
Is there a CSV import for past data?+
On our roadmap. For now, fastest path is one-time bulk entry of major transactions.
